Today, I attended a CLIP College hour in room M136. There were two speakers: Andrew Maller and Tennifer Klein. First of all, Mr Andrew discussed what is the Services for Students with Disabilities. It is a department to help people who has some disabilities to fit to their college lives. If we need help, we can go to the office in Science 132 or library 115 (lab) to find some help. Next, Ms Jeniffer talked about the Counselings Center. They has many different kinds of counselings to help the students with everything in their college lives, such as we had any problem need help or only some suggestions about college. We can find them in Library 422 or make a call by No. (718)631-6370 for a appointment.

Dear Zhong:
I am so sorry that you are absent today and I am also worried what happen to you. Today, we learned many things form CLIP College Hour in the M136 about BE and English 101. BE means basic skill. You would take this class when you failed the CAT-W or ACT that your score is under 50 in CAT-W or under 70 in ACT. If you pass the text you should take English 101 in first semester. If you take BE, you should take 2 classes per week and 2 hours each. And you have to pay $195 per hours and totally $780 without credit. I hope you can pass the text and take English 101. The same to BE, it also cost $780, but that will give you 4 credits. After that you should go to English 102 what can help you fit college life comfortable.
See you soon

Today I listened to a lecture on CUNY Start and ASAP given by Madhumita Chandra and Najwa Argandwall. First of all, CUNY Start is a program that helps students, who have not passed the CAT tests, to past text in reading, writing and math. The only requirement is failing the meth. This program just costs $75 include books. This program will not use students’ Financial Aid and take sixteen weeks. In addition, the ASAP program is a very good program that teach students how to fit college lives and lots of benefit like free monthly metro card, time management and credits chooses. If we have any other questions we can go to the office in W building rooms 110 and 113. Moreover, it needs we pass all of CAT texts. Finally, we can also visit QCC website to find more information about these programs.
